RNDC and Young’s give $400k to World’s Biggest Tip Jar

Wine and spirits distribution firms Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) and Young’s Market Company have pledged US$400,000 to the World’s Biggest Tip Jar in support of hospitality workers during the pandemic.

The World’s Biggest Tip Jar supports hospitality workers during the coronavirus pandemic

Sazerac-owned Fireball Cinnamon Whisky launched the World’s Biggest Tip Jar initiative to help fundraise towards the United States Bartenders’ Guild’s (USBG) Bartender Emergency Assistance Program, Southern Smoke Emergency Relief Fund and the Children of Restaurant Employees (CORE). The organisations provide hospitality employees with support during the Covid-19 crisis.

“Frontline workers, including bartenders and servers, are the face of the alcohol beverage industry to our customers. It is vital that we join together to ensure they are provided a means of support during this difficult time,” said Tom Cole, president and CEO of RNDC and Young’s.

Last month, the two companies contributed US$500,000 to the USBG and gave a bonus to RNDC and Young’s workers serving suppliers and customers during the pandemic.

In 2019, RNDC and Young’s Market Company moved forward with their planned joint venture after the deal was approved by the Federal Trade Commission.
