Serious traffic crash, Kedron

A man has suffered serious injuries after a two vehicle traffic crash at Kedron late this afternoon.

Preliminary inquiries indicate at 5.20pm a motorbike was heading south on Gympie Road. A Holden Colorado was travelling north and started to turn right into Edinburgh Castle Road when the motor bike has collided with the car.

The rider of the motorbike, a 28-year-old Aspley man, was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with critical head and chest injuries.

The driver of the car, a Redlands woman in her 40’s, was not physically injured.

Police are appealing for anyone with dashcam vision of an orange motorcycle travelling along Gympie Road prior to the crash to contact police.

Forensic crash unit are investigating.
