Property offences

Burglary: On June 16, an unknown offender has allegedly attempted to gain entry to a home on Neenuk Street Bongaree. No property was stolen.

On June 19, an unknown offender has entered a residence at Ardel Place, Sandstone Point and has allegedly stolen items of property from the residence.

On June 21, an unknown offender has allegedly entered a residence on Island Parade, Banksia Beach and has stolen property from the residence.

On June 22, an unknown offender has allegedly stolen a generator and sports equipment from a shed at a Bribie Island sports club.

Police continue to investigate these offences.

Stealing: On June 22, a sum of money was allegedly stolen from a woman at Bribie Island Shopping Centre.

Police are continuing to investigate this matter.

Vehicles: On June 18, six vehicles were unlawfully entered and had property stolen from them in the Bellara and Bongaree area.

A 25 year-old Kallangur woman has been arrested and charged with numerous offences and will appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on June 24.

On June 20, an unknown offender has unlawfully entered a vehicle on Voyagers Drive, Banksia Beach.

On June 19, an unknown offender has unlawfully entered a vehicle on Eucalypt Street, Bellara and have stolen a mobile phone from the vehicle.

Wilful damage: On June 22, an unknown offender has damaged a vehicle at Toorbul Street, Bongaree.

On June 22, a man has caused damage to a holiday unit in Welsby Parade, Bongaree. A 43 year-old Glenview man was arrested in relation to this and will appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on July 30.

On June 23, an unknown offender has damaged a vehicle in First Avenue, Bongaree.

On June 23, an unknown offender has damaged a door at Burrawong Avenue, Bongaree. A door at an address on Burrawong Avenue, Bogaree was also damaged.

Also on June 23, fences at three separate addresses on Bestmann Road, Bilinga Court and Coolgarra Avenue were damaged.

Found property: On June 19, a mobile phone was located on Phoenix Avenue, Bongaree.

Community safety

Drug offences: On June 21, a 24-year-old Ningi man was located by police in possession of drugs at Red Beach.  The man was issued a with a Notice to Appear and will appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on July 18.

On June 21, a 47-year-old Banksia Beach man was located by police in possession of drug utensils on Boyd Street, Woorim.  The man was issued a with a Notice to Appear and will appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on July 18.

Good Order Offences: On June 22, a 43-year-old Glenview man was arrested for public nuisance and failing to leave a licence premises at the Sandstone Point. He will appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on July 30.

On June 22, a 35-year-old Creastmead man was arrested for serious assault of a police officer, obstruct police and failing to leave a licenced premises at Sandstone Point. He will appeared in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on June 24 in relation to these matters.

On June 23, a youth was assaulted on Hall Avenue, Bongaree. Police are continuing to investigate this matter.

Police have responded to a total of 10 incidents of domestic violence this week.

Road safety

Drink and drug driving: On June 20, a 43-year-old Bellara man was located on Benabrow Avenue, Bellara driving under the influence of alcohol. He was issued with a Notice to Appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on July 11.

On June 23, a 67-year-old Woorim man was located driving a vehicle in Cotterill Avenue, Bongaree. The man failed to supply a specimen of his breath for analysis and was issued with a Notice to Appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on July 4.

Traffic Infringement Notices: A total of 16 Traffic Infringement Notices were issued by Bribie Island Police. A total of 147 Random Breath Tests were conducted.
